Life and Times of Dejo Tunfulu


Kunle Adetokunbo, popularly known as Dejo Tunfulu, was born on May 31st, 1972. He is a veteran actor born in Idumota, Lagos but he is a native of Abeokuta in Ogun State.

He went to Ansar-Ud-Deen Primary School in Lagos Island for his primary education before proceeding to Dolphin High School in Ebute Elefun, Lagos Island to obtain a secondary school certificate.

He later got a certificate in printing from the Modern Way Nigeria School of Printing.

Dejo started his acting career very young age when he featured on Theater Omode, a television programme that was very popular then.

He acted as Dejo in the first film he featured in, ‘Aje ni Iya mi’. Thereafter, he became a member of Akuko Gagara Theatre Group as well as Kolawole International Theatre Group.

Besides, he featured in ‘Apere Ijongbon’, a drama series produced by Kolawole International Theatre Group.

He became popular when he acted in Omo Oran with popular veteran actor, Fatai Adetayo (Lalude)
Dejo had performed in many Yoruba movies including Ejide (2007), Urine (2008), among others.

The death of Dejo Tunfulu filtered in through social media when one of his colleagues, Kunle Afod, broke the news on his Instagram handle.
