When will the Europa League semi-final for 2021-22 take place?

Sports

The Europa League for this season is gradually coming to an end.

There are few teams left in the race competing for the cup and a ticket to next year’s Champions League.

Barcelona is the favourite for the remaining games of the tournament.

However, British interests cannot be ruled out as West Ham as well as Rangers are very much in the race.

The semi-finals of the 2021-22 Europa League will come up between April and May 2022 in two legs.

Games for the first leg will be held on April 28, while the second leg will be played on May 5, a week later.

The implication of this is that there will be a gap of two weeks between quarter finals’ second legs and semi finals’ first legs.

Hence, teams will have enough time to prepare for the semi-finals.

In the first semi-final, Atalanta or Leipzig will face either Rangers or Braga.

The second semi-final tie will see Barcelona or Eintracht Frankfurt taking on West Ham or Lyon.
