Everton vs Man United: Iwobi helps in dashing United’s Top 4 hope


Alex Iwobi of Nigeria played for 90 minutes on Saturday to assist Everton beat Manchester United 1-0.

The Red Devils travelled to the Goodison Park to meet Frank Lampard’s men, BT Sport reports.

Anthony Gordon secured the winner for the home team in the 27th minute.

By this victory, Everton is four points clear of relegation since it has played more games than Burnley.

Burnley is now in the 18th position on the Premier league table.

Besides, it is not clear if United will qualify for the Champions League next season.

Manchester United is six points behind the fourth team on the table, Tottenham Hotspurs.

Everton manager, Frank Lampard, took over at the club in January, and this is his third Premier League win.

Lampard told reporters that he was proud of his struggling squad.

Meanwhile, Christiano Ronaldo who is the top scorer for United played against Everton this weekend after missing last week’s match against Leicester.

United played a 1-1 draw with Leicester last weekend.

Also, Marcus Rashford marks his 200th Premier League appearance today.
