The Federal Executive Council has approved a plan for better utilization of digital innovation in Nigeria.
Vanguard reports that it was the result of a memo presented to the Council by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami.
According to the ministry, the approval will make it easier to implement strategies that will strengthen the development and growth of more Innovation-Driven Enterprises (IDEs) with the capacity of creating more jobs for Nigerians.
Also, it will help in developing cutting-edge solutions to the nation’s problems and diversification of her economy.
This is harmonious with the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS) for a Digital Nigeria.
