Anthony Joshua set to face Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia for a rematch

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Oleksandr Usyk in a mid-August rematch at the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia.

The Jeddah Super Dome has a seating capacity of 35,000 and the rematch was delayed due to a discussion on a broadcast deal for Joshua.

According to Vanguard, Sky had secured him for its Box Office channel in the UK, and DAZN, a sports streaming platform, takes the international right.

Furthermore, Oleksandr Usyk holds the WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles after defeating Joshua last September through a unanimous decision at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Anthony Joshua, who is 32 years old, is hoping to reclaim the titles.

In addition, no fixed date has been chosen for the bout but Jeddah Super Dome’s management confirmed that it is a favoured venue to host the fight.

Joshua would be returning to Saudi Arabia after defeating Andy Ruiz Jr on points in a rematch in December 2019.
