Chelsea close to signing Raphinha for £55m

Chelsea are close to signing Brazil international, Raphinha, in a £55m deal.
The left-winger has been the target of Arsenal, Barcelona and Tottenham.

According to The Guardian, Raphinha is the second key player to leave Leeds this summer, after Kalvin Phillips, who is pitching his tent with Manchester City.

Furthermore, Chelsea has open discussions with Manchester City over Raheem Sterling to fortify their attack.

The club’s opening offer for Sterling will reach City this week and the deal will cost nothing less than £50m.

Chelsea’s co-owner, Todd Boehly, has shown willingness to support Thomas Tuchel in bringing on board two attacking players.

Also, Tuchel is interested in Ousmane Dembélé of Barcelona and Richarlison of Everton.

He is also holding talks with City over Nathan Aké who is expected to replace Antonio Rüdiger as Chelsea’s left-sided centre-back.

A move to replace Andreas Christensen is in the pipeline as he is talking with Matthijs de Ligt of Juventus and Jules Koundé of Sevilla for the right-sided centre-back position.
