The Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has called on Nigerians—especially Christians—to seek divine wisdom as a lasting solution to the country’s growing challenges.
Speaking during the 40th anniversary thanksgiving service of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Oyedepo said that genuine leadership and progress are built on wisdom, not just the pursuit of power. According to him, many of the nation’s issues can only be effectively addressed through spiritual insight and godly understanding.
He noted that believers possess the mind of Christ, which gives them the creative capacity to develop practical solutions to the problems facing the country. Oyedepo emphasized that wisdom is not only a spiritual virtue but also a divine tool for transforming societies and shaping destinies.

Highlighting the role of the church, the respected cleric pointed out that Christian organizations have made significant contributions to education, healthcare, and the economy, yet more can be done. He encouraged Christians to rise to the challenge and lead with wisdom in their respective fields to bring about national renewal.
Quoting from Scripture, Bishop Oyedepo reminded worshippers that “through wisdom kings reign and princes decree justice,” adding that Jesus represents both the wisdom and power of God. He urged the faithful to go beyond celebrating spiritual power and begin to seek divine wisdom that inspires creativity and problem-solving.
“It’s time to call down the wisdom of God to solve the seemingly impossible challenges around us,” Oyedepo declared. “Nigeria’s future depends on men and women who will rely on heavenly wisdom to chart a new course for our nation.”
He concluded by praying that God would release a fresh wave of wisdom upon the church, enabling believers to make greater impact in governance, business, and community development.
