Nigerian billionaire and politician Ned Nwoko has once again shared his unconventional views on marriage, expressing sympathy for men who choose to have only one wife.
During a recent interview with Seun Okinbaloye on Sunday Politics aired on Channels Television, Nwoko opened up about his lifestyle and gave insight into how he successfully manages his large family.
Ned Nwoko’s Thoughts on Polygamy
When asked how he balances life with his four wives, the businessman compared the experience to stability and balance. Using a vivid analogy, Nwoko said:
“Imagine standing on one leg — it’s quite difficult, right? But when you stand on two, three, or even four, you feel more stable. That’s how I see marriage. I actually feel sorry for men who have just one wife.”
According to Ned Nwoko, polygamy offers him a sense of structure and emotional balance that monogamy cannot provide. He emphasized that having multiple wives doesn’t create chaos in his home but instead promotes harmony, provided that mutual respect exists.

Ned Nwoko on Managing His Family
Despite public criticism surrounding his polygamous lifestyle, Nwoko maintains that he treats all his wives with love and fairness. He explained that he is not a violent person and that his marriages are built on understanding and communication rather than dominance or abuse.
“I love my wives and children deeply,” he said. “There’s peace in my home, and I have no regrets about my decision to marry multiple women.”
The lawmaker’s remarks have sparked renewed conversations on social media about cultural norms, polygamy, and modern relationships. While some people find his views controversial, others believe he’s simply expressing a traditional African perspective on family and marriage.
