Tinubu Declares: No One Exempt from the Law

President Bola Tinubu has made it clear that under his administration, no individual, regardless of their status, position, or political ties, will be allowed to evade the law.

He delivered this strong message on Monday during the opening of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and National Judicial Institute (NJI) Workshop for Justices and Judges in Abuja, stressing that accountability is central to his government’s agenda.

“Our administration will not shield anyone from legal consequences because of political connections. The rule of law is the foundation of a fair society, and everyone must answer to it,” Tinubu said.

The President further highlighted that building a corruption-free Nigeria requires commitment from all citizens, particularly those in leadership roles. He emphasized the judiciary’s role in maintaining integrity, impartiality, and independence in the interpretation and enforcement of the law.

“The stability of any society is directly linked to the credibility of its judicial system. When those entrusted to interpret and uphold laws are compromised, the entire society suffers. Under my watch, no one will be above the law,” he stated.

Tinubu also addressed concerns over controversial court decisions in high-profile corruption cases, noting that public confidence in the legal system depends on the fairness and transparency of judicial processes.

“Judges and justices serve as the final guardians of our collective conscience. Their ability to act without fear, favor, or corruption ensures that justice is not only done but is seen to be done,” the President added.

He concluded by urging all Nigerians to support a culture of integrity and responsibility in their communities, reminding citizens that collective commitment is essential for the progress of the nation.
